Born into and raised in a musical family in the beloved city of Dayton, Ohio, Kim Hale (Born Kimberly Jo Mays) is a seasoned vocalist, pianist/keyboardist, composer, arranger, director, worship leader, songwriter, and producer. She attended CBC in Springfield, Missouri with a triple major in Voice, Piano and Conducting in their Bachelor Of Arts program.
Kim has been performing, doing studio work and has ministered in a variety of music capacities for over 40 years. She has written countless songs and two full-scale musical productions for the stage. Her musical loves and abilities carry her through many musical genres and eras with her main loves being gospel, soul, smooth jazz, symphonic/cinematic scores and she truly cut her musical chops as a young teenager, growing up in the earlier Contemporary Christian music era and at a church that allowed her so much opportunity to grow and be herself. She attributes much of who she is today to the Pastor who cultivated this season of her life.
Kim has a full-length Christmas album entitled “Do You Hear What I Hear” and is currently releasing singles from her first full length Gospel album, “Oh My Soul, Vol. 1” and hopes to release her first autobiography, “Singing My Way Through” upon the album’s completion. She and her husband, Greg own and operate Art & Soul Studios in Northern Kentucky where they have resided for nearly 23 years. They have 3 children and 8 grandchildren who are the loves of their lives.
Kim is in full-time guest music ministry and is excited for what God has for her in this next season.
